In 2008 5MW saw the departure and reuniting of guitarist Ethin Thomas(yes Ethin is back with the band) and the recording of one new song.(The Grass Aint Always Greener) Kind of anyway, the master recording got lost befor a good mix could be created. It was also a rebuilding year for 5MW as all of the bands equipment was destroyed in a fire in late 2007. But it was a good year. We have settled on a permanent drummer and Van Davis has been with us for over a year now. We have been buisier than ever befor and we have definately grown as a band. We have also decided its time to record another CD. So hopefully we will get started on it in early 2009 and be finished with it by the end of the year. The last four years have been full of ups and downs but I dont think any of us would have traded any of it. There is no easy road to take when you do what we do. If there was everyone would be a rockstar. We are lookin foward to 2009 and lookin foward to seein all yall out there around West Texas and SE New Mexico. Thanx for helping us do what we do.

As some of you have noticed Ethin hasnt been with us on stage the last couple of months. Do to personal differences with the rest of the band we regret to report that we have had to part ways. We thank Ethin for all the time, energy, and effort he has contributed to 5MW over the years and we wish him the best. Thanx Ethin and take care buddy. We love you.        Dave/5MW
